Meeting design checklist
A short checklist for making recurring team meetings lighter and more useful.
Before a recurring meeting survives another quarter, check:
- Does it produce a decision, a commitment, or a useful shared view?
- Is the attendee list still tied to the outcome?
- Could written prep replace status updates?
- Is the cadence driven by actual change rate?
- What would break if the meeting disappeared for two weeks?
Most recurring meetings survive on inherited legitimacy. That is rarely a strong enough reason.
